The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) is the largest federal employee union representing more than 750,000 federal and D.C. government workers nationwide and overseas. Workers in virtually all functions of government at every federal agency depend upon AFGE for legal representation, legislative advocacy, technical expertise, and information services. The 6th District of AFGE represents Locals in Indiana, Kentucky, & Ohio. AFGE-Local 3283 serves the DFAS-Cleveland bargaining unit employees.

Back in 2000, our founding leaders realized that by working together we could overcome challenges much more efficiently, and that is why we ultimately decided to join forces as AFGE-Local 3283.
